Hale Loke Cottage

Hale Loke is a beautifully furnished and appointed single story detached cottage (no neighbors above or below). Hale Loke has two air-conditioned master bedroom suites and an a/c in the kitchen/living/dining area. The backyard has a BBQ grill, dining table, mountain views, banana trees and is surrounded by a lovely lava rock wall. Hale Loke sleeps 4.

Just steps away is the tropical greenbelt walkway which leads to Poipu Beach & Brennecke's Beach or head east to Shipwreck's Beach fronting the Grand Hyatt Resort - a short 10 minute walk in either direction. As you walk from beach to beach you will pass Poipu Kai Resort's Tennis Club, restaurant, and also the pool and hot tub. Two golf courses, shopping and a variety of casual to fine dining are easily accessible and less than a mile away.

Rate: From $275/Night plus 17.96% State GE/TAT/County Tax, $250 Refundable Security Deposit, $250 Cleaning Fee; and $50 Deposit Protection and $50 Reservation Processing Fee.

*Rates are based on Season and subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Reservations include Poipu Beach Athletic Club membership at $25/Night. Access to Poipu Beach Athletic Club is for up to four people.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hale Loke Cottage. We missed not having a backyard but our in-laws were staying in the Hale Ko Cottage so we spent every evening over there visiting and checking out all the stars in the sky! The refrigerator door looks very rusty tho (I'm sure because of the humidity) and maybe needs to be replaced or some kind of cover applied? Loved Kauai and already thinking about another trip in a couple years.

  Hale Loke Cottage is a sweet, clean and comfortable home base for exploring Kauai. Situated amongst several resorts, the little cottage is tucked between the walking path, a neighboring condo parking lot and main roads. It’s both private and a little loud. The house is well stocked with all you need for a vacation including beach chairs, a cooler, boogie boards etc. The house is a 10 minute walk from two great, kid friendly beaches and about 10 minutes for a beach with bigger surf. You’re also working walking distance of several restaurants. Access to both the Athletic Club pool and a pool on the resort is a treat too. If you’re the type of person who enjoys hanging on a comfortable lanai looking at a beautiful view, this place will leave you wanting more. But if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to eat and sleep, this is it!

  This is the third year consecutive year that we have stayed in the Hale Loke Cottage. We enjoy the location especially as we like to walk. The deck is a place we spend a fair amount of time for coffee & meals. It is starting to show ware. We understand the weather is hard on things. The kitchen could use more items so the diswasher doesn't need to be run so often, for example there are only 3 drinking mugs.The thing that makes us unhappy about staying at this property is paying for the Athletic Club when we never use it. I have no ideas why this is mandatory!! We have paid $985.00 for this in 3 years and never use it! It is nice to have access to the property management company if there is an issue. We did ask them about access to more TV channels for hockey games of which we were willing to pay but never heard back about this. Cher was very helpful when we needed items copied and scanned.   The online descriptions of the properties have always been accurate, the properties have always been clean, and the locations have always been well appointed.
  
  On this visit, we found some minor maintenance issues upon arrival but Vicki and her team addressed them right away so we could get on with having a fantastic time on the Garden Isle.
  
  Kauai is a very special place for our family and we try to visit every year. Poipu 365 is our first place to look for a vacation rental. We have always been happy, the Poipu 365 always takes great care of us, and we'll keep coming back.

  This two bedroom, two bath home worked out really well for us. It was in a perfect location in sunny Poipu area between two great beaches within walking distance. Bring slippers for the tile floors. We loved the privacy with our own little yard. The slide at the Athletic Club was a favorite of our four year old grandson. It was about a mile away. The kitchen had everything we needed. Although, we prefer stainless steel pans. The beds were comfortable. The only downside for us was there was no bathtub for our little one. (Please note - the dresser in the second bedroom is broken- it’s a hazard if opened.)

  Wonderful place! Excellent choices were made during what looked like a fairly recent remodel. Large shower in master bath. Generous supply of great quality bath towels. Nice to have several beach towels too. Seemed very clean. If the property had an ocean view it would be SO perfect! Improvement suggestions: although having beach chairs was so nice, they were in bad shape making them hard to carry. Couldn't get TV in LR to work despite following instructions. Maps of resort area did not show where pool was. But these things were minor. We would stay here again!

  We found this cottage clean and well appointed for all our own cooking. The beds were comfortable and it had a brand new air mattress as well. The Bahama chairs came in handy. The boogie boards were appreciated but probably need to be replaced every couple of months due to the amount of renter usage. A beach umbrella would be useful! The location is great for a 10 minute walk to the beaches and 10 minute drive to Koloa town. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and would stay here again! Aloha!

  This cottage was perfect for my family. It looked just like the pictures. The air conditioning was nice to have. Customer service was friendly and helpful. The gym is less than a mile away. The beach closes to the cottage is just a short walk away. it does tend to get crowded. I would suggest Shipwreck beach which is about the same distance away. The beach is bigger and there are tress which is nice to have some shielding from the sun. The washing machine and dryer were very useful. While this cottage isn't right on the beach is was close enough and very quiet.

  We loved our time at this Cottage. The location offers much privacy. Each morning we enjoyed coffee and then meals sitting on the large deck. The cottage is also well located to many walking trails which is attractive to us as we put on several km each day. A king size bed in the main bedroom would make this place perfect, the couch could be replaced with a regular one as the present one has a hole in it, otherwise the furniture is in excellent condition. The kitchen is well equipped but with a few more dishes/glasses the dish washer would not need to be run as often. I would prefer that paying for the Athletic Club be optional as as we paid $345.00 US for it and didn't use the facilities once!! We hope to be able to return to this wonderful paradise in 2 years.   It's perfectly clean, an easy and pleasant stroll to two great beaches, convenient to numerous other spots, plenty of space for our small family, filled with all the amenities needed in a vacation rental, has great AC, and rents for a fair price. What more could one ask for?
  
  Plus, when I last reviewed the place, I mentioned a couple of minor items that could use an upgrade and they took care of both! They are definitely responsive!
  
  It has been a difficult year obviously. Kauai is our family's special place. Going back there finally was a much needed respite for all of us. Hale Loke again gave us a great place to experience the Garden Isle.

  My sister, brother-in-law, the wife and I stayed at the Hale Loke in March. The description was spot on and the cottage was very clean and well kept. Air conditioning and cable TV in every room which was nice to have during a couple of rainy days. We were a 5-10 minute walk to the beach depending on how fast you want to walk and as always Poipu is a beautiful place. Lastly, Vicki Agor was a good host. She visited us at check-in to make sure we had everything we needed and when we had to leave early due to the Covid-19 pandemic she refunded us for the unused time. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone going to Kauai.

  We love all of Kauai but Poipu is very, very special to our family. We go whenever we can. This was our second time staying in Hale Loke and we would gladly stay there a third time!
  
  Our little daughter calls Hale Loke her "Hawaii House" and that is a testament to its appeal as a rental. It is great for a family because it feels like a home.
  
  The location is great with an easy walk to multiple beaches. The beds are comfy. The AC works well. The kitchen is basic but has everything you need to make a great meal with fresh local ingredients. Internet connectivity is solid. The cleaning team prepped it well. It has its own washer and dryer. The Poipu 365 staff are friendly and accommodating. The price is a good value for the area.
  
  Really, everything one would need for great vacation stay.
  
  If we could improve anything, a new frying pan and new beach chairs would be awesome but we got along fine with the existing ones.

  I stayed here with my two kids (7 and 9) and enjoyed the place and location. The wall a/cs kept the place cool and comfortable. You can walk to the beach, but it’s a trek. We did go once to the Poipu athletic club, they enjoyed the pool and we had a good lunch there too. Check out Little Fish coffee. During our stay the cable and WiFi we’re out, but it was an area wide outage, so nothing the management could do, but they did come out and check it out, which was a nice gesture. The interior is spacious and open and we had everything we needed for light cooking.

  We absolutely loved our stay at Hale Loke cottage. The cottage was even better in person than the photos/video. It had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our vacation. We loved having access to a washer and dryer and that the unit came with beach chairs, umbrellas and a cooler. This was a nice and quiet location but close enough to walk to the beach. Can’t say enough good things about this rental and location. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

  Hale Loke Cottage exceeded our expectations. It is part of the Poipu Kai development which is a short walk to Poipu Beach, but is more like home than a hotel.There is a washer and dryer. It was very clean and has pleasant newer decor and floor plan. We were two couples and a 7-year-old who slept on a comfortable aero bed (included) and we had plenty of privacy. The porch has a pretty view and a gas barbecue which we used. Midori came when we arrived and kindly answered our questions about excursions, grocery shopping, etc. A great find in beautiful Poipu!!

  Great spot in Poipu! So nice to have your own house. The layout worked well for our family of 4 (two kids ages 6 and 9): kids on one side, parents on the other and living space in the middle. Enjoyed BBQing and eating meals on the lanai with the lovely garden foliage and birds around. Easy walk to Poipu Beach Park with boogie boarding, snorkling and protected area for little kids. Also an easy walk to the Hyatt for live music and cocktails in the evening. No noise issues in the cottage and I am a light sleeper. Sports club access was surprisingly useful - kids enjoyed some pool time and the restaurant is good. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental.

  The second half of our stay in Poipu was at Hale Loke Cottage. This was a nice little home that suited our small family with two children. As a place to put your feet up after a long day at the beach, it was perfectly fine. We enjoyed having access to the Athletic Club, as it was a nice break from the beach experience.

  I was on the Island for work. It was last minute and this place was perfect. The rental company was quick and returned my calls when I asked for a late checkout. This location was perfect, the house was clean and welcoming, the internet was fast, and the AC worked well. If I had to find a negative about the house it would be that the driveway was very tight and difficult to get in and out of without driving on the grass. Not really a big deal, but annoying. Overall the house was great and a affordable.

  We have stayed in a number of vacation rentals in Hawaii and the mainland and Hale Loke is definitely one that we could easily stay in again.
  
  The photos online are accurate. It's a cute property with more than enough room for 4 people to stay comfortably.
  
  The location is fantastic. The cottage is an easy and pretty 10 minutes walk to either Poipu Beach or Mahaulepu Beach.
  
  Having access to the resort pool and hot tub was a nice perk. The AC worked great.
  
  When staying in a vacation rental, you will always notice some small items that could use a little extra spit and polish here and there. Hale Loke is no exception to this rule but it is also really well-maintained overall and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived.
  
  We only dealt with the Poipu 365 team over email but they took care of everything. The rental process was easy and smooth.
  
  We had a really good stay so any complaints would be minor. The only things that could stand a little improvement would be the pots and pans and the beach equipment. The existing supplies were adequate and we made do just fine. But an upgrade in these areas would make a great property even better.
  
  This place is a great family vacation spot!

  We stayed here for Spring break vacation this year and loved this property. It’s immaculate inside and out and is in an excellent location. It’s well appointed with all kitchen that we needed (although a kettle would be an advantage). It’s in a quiet location and easy walking to Piopu and Shipwreck Beach. We loved the fact that we could also use the Poipu Althletic Beach Club facilities too. My only suggestion would be to upgrade to a King size bed in the master bedroom. I would highly recommend this property and stay here again.

  The rental was walking distance from the ocean with beautiful beaches accessible in minutes. We saw humpback whales and sea turtles within an hour of our arrival! The beds were comfortable, and A/C more powerful than we needed in January. The kitchen was stocked with dishware but no spices, so if you hope to cook may be worth bringing a spice set. With a car, this was a great location to access south island destinations. A couple minor items that could use repair were the safe (power issue?) and the beach umbrella had some wear and tear. Overall we had a great trip and the lodging met our needs wonderfully.

  We spent a week at the cottage on a family vacation (2 adults and one 10yo). We were all very happy with our stay. The cottage was in great condition with all the amenities we needed. It was a fairly quiet neighborhood. The location is great with only a short walk to the beach and numerous shops and restaurants nearby. We have stayed previously in Poipu at the Grand Hyatt, but would much prefer to return to the cottage for our next stay. It had a very comfortable home away from home feel.

  The Hale Loke is a cute little bungalow that is perfect for up to 4 people in a quiet area. Close to the walking path, and easy to get to the beaches.
  Poipu 365 was very good to deal with and quite responsive to our questions or requests.
  We do cook and did find the basic kitchen tools were available but it was sparse compared to some other places we have rented in the past. But we could totally make due with what was there.
  We did find this unit was not as clean as we would have liked i.e. the floors could have used a good scrub.
  But overall, we enjoyed our stay. It is Kauai, after all, how could we not?

  The last minute we decided on a late checkout and the Owner was great taking my call on a Sunday (greatly appreciated!). Yes, I would recommend this property. Location was great and offered easy access to several beaches, restaurants and outdoor activities.
  
  We went horseback riding (CJM Stables - Jimmy was great), Catamaran (Holo Holo) and a kayak and hike to Secret Falls. Restaurants that we visited included Beach House, Bubbas, Paco's Taco's and others that I can't remember their names.

The location was fantastic - within walking distance of great beaches and restaurants. There are sections of Po'ipu that feel a bit "resorty" but this cottage is located among other cottages/homes and feels more like a neighbourhood.   We stayed 7 nights in August 2016 a family of four and it was a lovely vacation home, tastefully decorated and modern. It is bigger inside than it seems from the photos. It is in a wonderful location, easy to walk to the beaches if you have older children, otherwise a very short drive and plenty of free parking. The house was very clean and tidy, having two large beds was great. Being there in late August, the hottest month of the year, the whole house air conditioning was well worth it, worked well, and the A/C was quiet too. It is in a quiet little group of homes, a nice quiet location away from the crowds and road noise. Wifi worked well, we used it to book a few tours. Vicki was great, she helped swap out a propane gas tank that had gone empty with a neighboring house no one was using, saving our dinner. We did cook out using the gas grille on the deck, the evening breezes were cool and comfortable. It was a very pleasant home all around and we would definitely recommend it. Service from Poipu365 was great!

  We usually stay in princeville and decided to stay a few nights here and I'm so glad we did. We are a family of 4...2 teenagers. The house was super cozy and comfortable. Loved all the windows and bright light. Loved the location. Perfect. The management staff were super nice and easy to work with. We had a very small issue with the Internet and they were extremely quick to get it fixed. It couldn't of been any better I was sad to leave and would definitely come again.

  I brought my son to Kauai for his 39th birthday. We stayed at Hale Loke and found the residence to be just the right fit for us. The pictures on their website are very accurate and the amenities were even better than expected. (There is an additional A/C unit in the kitchen, dining, living room.) The furnishings are attractive and the beds were VERY comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied and the cottage is near a wonderful walking path that is even lighted at night. They definitely thought of everything - there was a hand mirror and first aid kit in both bathrooms! Management provided help when I discovered that we needed an additional night and they made it happen with no hassle to us. (I'm sure it was a hassle for them, but they were great!) I highly recommend a visit to the National Tropical Botanical Gardens nearby.

  Stayed here with a family of 4 and it could not have been a more ideal situation! A 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute to Hyatt, and in close proximity to the pool. We had family staying next store in the Villas and they all said one thing - it was loud. They could hear the people above and below them. Not at Hale Loke as it's a detached house. If/when we return we are staying here! Additionally all the people at Poipu 365 were more than helpful and amazingly easy to work with. We had crib/toys and a full fridge stocked prior to our arrival that they helped facilitate.

  Hale Loke cottage was just as described. Nicely finished. Nicely furnished. Beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we were participating in wedding activities at the Grand Hyatt and could walk over. We were traveling with 2 grandchildren so having the space of the cottage and a kitchen was preferable to a hotel room. Will reserve again if we want to stay in the Poipu area.

  We (2 adults and one 2yr old) were fortunate enough to stay at Hale Loke for about two months while I worked on Kauai. This house was in excellent condition; it appeared to have just been completely remodeled. There are tile floors and granite countertops throughout. The master bath has a huge walk-in tiled shower; the other bathroom has a smaller tiled shower (no tub). There are flat screen tv’s in the living room and each bedroom. There is a nice walking path in the Poipu Kai resort, which passes right by this house, that connects two different beaches. It’s about a 10 minute walk to either beach. The ladies at Poipu365 were very nice and helpful. I will definitely consider staying at this house again if my work returns to the island.
