Poipu Sands 333

Poipu Sands Condo 333 is a spacious, airy two bedroom condo unit of 1250 square feet, and is beautifully furnished and fully equipped. The unit is on the third floor (top floor, no elevator) in Building 3 with ocean views through swaying coconut palms.

Poipu Sands is designed for relaxation and fun with a large heated pool, tennis courts and jogging paths through the verdant lawns and gardens. Winding paths connect Poipu Sands to two top-rated beaches, Brennecke's Beach in Poipu Beach Park (about a 10 minute walk) and Shipwreck's Beach fronting the Grand Hyatt Resort (less than 5 minute walk). Dining and shopping are all conveniently located within a couple mile radius.

  We had a very good time at Poipu Sands 333. The unit was clean and very well stocked with supplies. The ocean view was great and the location was close to everything in the area. The barbecues were clean and in good condition and the pool was clean and close to the unit. There was a tennis court also on the property that we could use. Some very nice beaches close by also.

  It’s an well maintained and spacious unit. Great location close to Poipu Beach and shopping and restaurants. Well stocked, in kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs. Only thing is no AC which I knew but was too warm In living room and master room. 2nd bedroom is much cooler with thread wind to cool down the room.

  My wife and two kids stayed at Poipu Sands for a week The first thing we noticed, aside from the fantastic view, was how absolutely everything was there - beach towels, shampoo, boogie boards, umbrellas, folding chairs, flippers, snorkel gear. No need to drag a bunch of stuff on your flight. The view is exceptional, and I think the location and orientation of this complex make it very private. There are a lot of big complexes on the island, but this one feels private has a great pool and an incredible view of the ocean. The breeze from the ocean is very pleasant. It is also right next to the Hyatt and Shipwreck beach and an 11-minute walk to Brennecke beach. We hope to return. Mahalo!

  This was our first trip to Kaua’i and to Hawaii overall. We could not have picked a more perfect home base for our island explorations. The check in was seamless. The communication from the management company was excellent. The unit had absolutely everything we needed. We even challenged each other to come up with something that was lacking and the only thing my son said was a pool float. Not bad. We used the beach gear and towels every day. The beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious and very nicely done. We really appreciated having all the soaps, shampoos, etc. provided. The kitchen was perhaps the best stocked of all VRBO and similar places we’ve ever stayed. As people who like to cook and cook a lot, this was so appreciated. Overall, we absolutely loved Poipu Sands 333 and will look forward to staying there again if we make it back to Kaua’i which we hope to do at some point in the future.

  The condo was fabulous - great view of the ocean an well maintained property. We loved sitting on the lanai at night looking at the stars and listening to the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would ever need. Beach chairs, cooler, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, beach/ pool towels all were supplied. Close enough to walk to shipwreck beach and Poipu Beach. A couple of restaurants/bars were close enough to walk also. The only thing that we would have changed was the two beds in the 2nd bedroom were pretty small ( narrow). We asked 2X to have them put together but it wasn’t done.

  Great condo. Fully functional in a great location in Poipu. Large terrace with ocean view. Third floor no elevators. Pool area was great.
  Needs a bit of repears like the screenings were always running off the tracks. The living room furniture could be upgraded as the sofa and chairs were not very comfortable.

  We rented this condo to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with our two adult sons. This condo exceeded our expectations. It is a 30 minute drive from Lihue airport, perfectly located in the Poipu area and within a 10 minute drive to many good restaurants and a well-provisioned grocery store (Koloa). The unit was very well equipped, from boogie boards & towels to a small portable cooler. The view from the balcony/lanai is better than the photos. We sat out on the balcony most of time that we were in the unit to enjoy the wonderful ocean view and breezes. It's only drawback is that there is limited lighting when the sun goes down. The property manager was very friendly and answered the few questions we had quickly. I would highly recommended this unit to friends, family or anyone wanting a wonderful stay in Kauai. Things to consider - it is on the 3rd floor so if stairs are a problem, this is probably not your place and there is no air conditioning. We did not find that a problem at all, just open open the porch doors (have screens) and enjoy the ocean breeze and let the sounds of the ocean waves put you to sleep.

  This was a wonderful place in a great location. Everything was exactly as advertised. It was nearly perfect.
  That said, there are a few maintenance items that need attention: some loose carpet tacks on the edges of the floors; a drippy shower in the master bath; and lint build-up in the dryer that needs to be cleaned. None of these things detracted from our stay but just seem to require minor repairs.

  Wonderful location, amenities were perfect and it was quiet. Easy walk to Shipwreck Beach and pretty well located for exploring the surrounding area. Plenty of restaurants and activities nearby to check out. We especially were impressed by the Allerton Gardens - a nice surprise. The Poipu Athletic Club might be a nice feature for some but we never used it - it would be nice if that was an optional fee. The deck was really nice place to relax or have a meal. A few high bar stool type chairs would be nice to be able enjoy the view unobstructed by the railing. Overall, a really great place to stay!

  This spacious property has everything you need to enjoy your stay, including beach gear—snorkel, chairs, umbrella, and etc.—and a magnificent view. We either cooked or used the ground’s BBQs for most of our meals and the condo had everything that we needed to create and eat our meals. The condo is perfectly positioned to collect the ocean breezes, which will cool of the condo in no time and keep it cool—especially if you open both sliders and the front windows to allow a complete pass through. Note: The second bedroom has two twin beds, if you need them put together, email Vicki—property manager—a few days prior to your stay and she will ensure it is taken care of. The grounds were perfect for a leisure stroll and the path leading up to the golf course is an easy walk with several spectacular views. Although the beach near the condo is somewhat rocky with the surf being a bit rough in the early morning and late afternoon hours, the water is refreshing and well worth taking a dip—calmer waters with a sandy bottom can be found at Brennecke's Beach, which is a short 15 min walk or a quick 3-4 min drive from the condo. We will definitely look into staying here again on our next trip to Kauai.

  We were pleasantly surprised on arriving to find that Poipu wasn't a busy noisy condo resort. Very well maintained gardens and pool area and from poipu 333 good views over to the sea. Poipu 333 itself was on top level and the only apartment / unit at level 3 on this staircase. Spacious and quiet apartment with newly and tastefully renovated bathrooms and kitchens. Large veranda with lovely sea breeze. We had a great stay- thank you!

  Wonderful week in Poipu. Clean unit, very well equipped, love the view from the veranda. Grounds are immaculate, use of the BBQ and pool was a nice feature and the proximity to the beach, the Grand Hyatt and local shopping was perfect yet far enough away for quiet and peace.   We were very pleased to find the lanais floor, furniture, and railing to be very clean and free from bird droppings! Many windows could not be used due to loose screens, they need to be secured with metal tabs not plastic. The lock box hanging from the door handle is a bit tacky & should mounted to the outside wall. The scratched Teflon pans should be replaced with non scratch or stainless steel for health reasons. We could not find an ice cream scoop. The furniture was fine & the decorations & art work very tasteful. Overall, the condo was a good value for the money!

  We loved our time at Poipu Sands. The condo was great, with lots of space, comfy furniture. It was very well equipped - beach chairs & umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment,etc. The kitchen was also very well equipped with everything we needed. The grounds are well maintained. Gorgeous view of the ocean from the lanai. There is no air conditioning, but we rarely needed it. All in all, a wonderful experience, we hope to return again soon.

  We stayed two weeks in our third floor condo. The condo is spacious and well furnished. We enjoyed the huge lanai accessible from both the living room and bedroom. This condo has a great ocean view, and the sounds of the surf are amazing, especially at night. Everything you could possibly want for the beach is there; beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and coolers. The location is great. We enjoyed walking through the gardens at the Grand Hyatt next door as well as their restaurants and luau. Loved that we could walk about a mile to Poipu Beach Park for snorkeling and just a little farther to Starbucks. We will definitely recommend this condo to anyone planning to stay in the Poipu area.

  This condo is very spacious and worked perfectly for our group (two adults and two teenagers). The condo is as pictured and has everything you could possibly need, including boogie boards, beach umbrellas and chairs, snorkel gear, kitchen appliances, guide books, etc. The bathrooms are lovely and roomy. The location is great, just a short jaunt to Koloa and several good beaches. You can walk to view the sunrise past the Hyatt.   We were very pleased with our stay at Poipu Sands #333. We've stayed at Poipu Sands on several occasions and this unit was one of our favorites. It has a wonderful outlook (view) as it is a top floor unit. A bit of a hike up the stairs (which was good exercise for us), and should be a consideration for those with physical limitations. We love the location next to the Grand Hyatt, which we frequented. The unit is spacious, well-equipped, and reasonably-priced considering all things. We highly recommend.

  Having rented on "the net" in the past with less than ideal results, we were totally blown away by Poipu Sands 333. The condition, decor, cleanliness,amenities, such as beach chairs, umbrellas and even snorkels were truly impressive. From the balcony we saw whales breaching and our bedroom had sliding doors to the lanai, allowing us to sleep with the waves and wake up with the birds. Best vacation ever.

Difficult to find if you arrive after dark - as per instructions, the KEY is the yellow fire hydrant. NOTE: this condo does NOT have A/C so can get stuffy on warmer days but every room has a ceiling fan & adjustable louvered windows. Good airflow but you can hear all outside conversations & noisy neighbors with open windows.

  We stayed in the condo for 3 nights and traveled the whole island from there. It is well located, close to beach and shopping. It had boogie boards, picnic basket, beach chairs and everything we needed in the kitchen. It was great having the extra space of a condo with living room and balcony instead of being cramped into a hotel. We cooked most of our meals in and took lunch picnics for sightseeing.
  
  The cleaning lady was still there when we arrived and she was wonderful. She let us put our suitcases inside and gave us directions to the grocery store. When we came back the condo was ready. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this owner/condo!

One awesome thing that the Poipu365 website doesn't mention is that this hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Grand Hyatt which is the fanciest hotel on the island. My wife and I enjoyed many walks through their gardens and a nightly drink at their lounge before returning home to our condo which saved us hundreds of dollars.

  This rental was not the cheapest we saw in the area, but it was worth it. The cleaning deposit was more expensive that we wanted to pay, but the unit was VERY clean. We had booked another VRBO rental and paid half that in cleaning fees, the unit was NOT clean at all. I also liked that we could pay with credit card. Other places on VRBO do not have that option and it was not convenient as we forgot to bring our checkbook and have to remember every day to make a cash withdrawal from the bank- not fun when you are on vacation. That is the last thing I wanted to worry about. Overall, great place. I recommend it.

  Our experience with Poipu 365 was great from beginning to end. The condo was clean,well stocked and very comfortable for our family of 3. There were a lot of extras such as boogie boards, beach mats, coolers to borrow for the beach. There was extra supplies in the kitchen and laundry that helped us avoid buying all those little extra things.
  We had only one issue (no wifi) which was dealt with quickly. A new router was purchased and installed that day.
  We would definitely return to Poipu Sands. We have stayed in many different condos over the years and this one was the very best!

  We spent Christmas 2012 in Poipu Sands 333 and found it to a spacious, well-appointed property with a gorgeous ocean view and amazing proximity to beaches and town. The living spaces had all the conveniences we needed, including wireless internet and a TV with great stations, and the kitchen had all the utensils and cookware we needed for our stay. We added a pack/play crib rental from Ready Rentals, and we had lots of room for 3 adults and a toddler to enjoy meals on the patio and a busy schedule of pool/beach time with lots of relaxing and playing. Not one single concern or complaint - we felt lucky to find this gem!

  I had not visited the island of Kauai for 25 years. Loved it. Our Poipu Sands Unit #333 was a beautiful condo for our stay. The buildings, property, pool, landscaping were all top notch. The interior of our condo was great, remodeled, very clean, comfortable & lots of space for 4 people. Poipu Sands is in a great location, close to shopping centers, restaurants & beaches with several nice walking paths to access these places. Every morning we watched the sunrise from our lanai. I highly recommend Poipu Sands and Unit #333.
