Manualoha 101

Manualoha 101 is a ground floor, privately located end unit in the Poipu Kai Resort on the knoll just above world famous Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach.

The premiere location makes it a short walk to beach activities, tennis, dining, and the Kauai Hyatt. Ocean views from the lanai and portable a/c's in the bedroom and living room make this condo a wonderful choice.

Manualoha boasts stunning whitewater ocean views and enchanting sunsets and a beautiful seaside pool and tennis courts. The two story unit has two covered lanai, the ground floor lanai opens up to a grassy area with a walking path to the beach.

There is free private parking. There is great snorkeling, surfing and park facilities as well as the adjoining Brennecke’s Beach, Poipu’s premier body boarding beach, all just steps away.

Rate: From $200/Night plus 17.96% State GE/TAT/County Tax, $250 Outclean, $50 Deposit Protection, $250 Refundable Security Deposit.

*Rates are based on Season and subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Reservations include Poipu Beach Athletic Club membership $25/Night.

  One of the best locations possible. Short walk to the beach. On site swimming pool right next door. Access to the athletic club about 2 miles away which was great for the kids (pool w slide, tennis, ping pong, etc...) The only cons are that the condo is a little dated (didn’t bother us in the slightest) and doesn’t have good AC. Master bedroom could cool way down. The rest of the condo stayed around 80. The loft was around 85. If you must have AC blasting then you may not like it. I fully plan on renting this same condo the next time we visit Kauai.

  An excellent place for a couple or, as we were, a couple with a child. The upstairs loft is warm but equipped with a fan. The comfortably-furnished condo in the forward-most building of the Manualoha complex and looks across a large grassy lawn to the beach; it's also next to a pool. A marvelous location!

  Manualoha unit was the perfect for our little family's stay. Our kids ages 7, 9 & 12 stayed in alcove upstairs and they loved having their own space. As parents, we all had plenty of space to relax. The kitchen was well-appointed to make any small meals, but we opted mostly to get take out from Brennecke's grill which was within walking distance. The two A/C units downstairs (one in the living room and the other in the bedroom) were more than adequate to cool the rooms enough for restful sleep. We enjoyed the pool as well as the play area and beach within walking distance. We would gladly stay here again.

  You can NOT beat the location of this unit to everything. The beach is within eyes view, the pool is adjacent to the building, and the unit sits on an expansive lawn that the kids loved. Plus you can walk to a fun restaurant and bar for a sunset cocktail. We spent most nights taking in the sunset in the unit though, it was amazing. The unit is very well equipped with tons of wares in the kitchen, lots of blankets, linens, towels. I didn't realize there were actually two sofa beds downstairs, as well as a third in the loft. All with updated queen memory foam which was actually quite comfortable. Overall condition is dated, but clean and maintained. The master bed is a full, which was pretty small for us, and the mattress was very firm- but again- that VIEW! Kids loved the loft with their own tv and cable. Closet was stocked with boards, snorkel, fins, chair, umbrellas. Prior reviews of an old deck were addressed- as the deck looked brand new and gave a great place to relax. Overall, I would stay here time and time again. I just wish the unit was for sale- I'd buy this one in a heartbeat!

  Great location to everything. The views, pool, ocean are right there! The condo is in fairly good condition. It does need updating and new bath mats and carpet. Response time to get a couple things looked after were taken care of right away. Lots of plates, cups, cutlery and spices in the kitchen. One good boogie board, the other 2 were broken so we left a 4th one. Beach chairs could be better. 3 good umbrellas. The a/c had to be left on all day as it would get very hot in the condo and no way for crosswinds to cool it down at night. A screen door at the front would do wonders! I would definitely stay here again. The location is outstanding.

  My family was thrilled with the well appointed, stocked and clean condo that we checked into. The view is absolutely amazing. We have stayed in other Manualoha condos and this one is at the top of our list. The location is perfect and private. Great for a family. The master has a queen bed and the loft has a living area and two twin beds with a second floor patio off of this room. But the best surprise of all were the two air conditioning units and 5 additional fans in the unit. The afternoons in Poipu can get hot and this was a welcome addition. I would highly recommend this condo for your next vacation!

  This condo was perfect for our family of four. The view from the condo (especially when sitting outside at the table and chairs) offered a beautiful view of the ocean. The photos don't do it justice! We swam every day at Brennecke's Beach and the pool which were both just steps away from the condo. My girls said it was the best pool ever. My only complaint about the condo was that the upstairs loft area has steep steps, gets hot during the day, and is far from a bathroom. It worked just fine for my 8 and 11 year old. There are several fans up there that helped cool it off. We cooked every night in the kitchen or at the grill which is adjacent to the pool. There are plenty of pots/pans, dishes, and all of the appliances worked well. We hope to return again and would strongly consider returning to this same condo.

  Just spent a fabulous 4 nights in this has great views of the beach over beautiful manicured lawns,is right near the pool and the views and location were perfect for us with only a couple minute walk to poipu beach which by the way we saw monk seals everyday.The unit is well equipped, clean and had plenty of fans which was great as the top loft area could get a bit warm. It is not a huge unit but we stayed with our 3 adult children and it suited our needs, its great that there was two bathrooms. Would love to stay again if we are ever back in Poipu.

  We had a great time on Kauai, this condo couldn't be in a better location. It is an end unit, very quiet, directly across from the beach and right next to the very nice, large pool. It is quite large, we had 6 adults there at one point, very comfortably. Pictures are accurate. The only thing we wished for was AC. There are numerous fans, but AC would have made it perfect.

  We had a nice stay!
  The condo is well equipped. We enjoyed that there were boogie boards and beach chairs.
  It had plenty of room for our group of five. We enjoyed using both patios. The bbq by the pool was clean and in good condition.
  I was concerned that there wasn't central air conditioning but it really wasn't a problem. There are plenty of fans. It was a little hot upstairs when there was a lack of breeze but after a day or so I felt like we all had acclimated to the humidity. There is actually a small portable a/c unit if really needed.
  I really liked the proximity to water. It was a quick easy walk. My kids also liked how close it was to the pool.

  We were there only 3 nights, wish it could have been longer. We saw green sea turtles on Poipu beach every morning on our walk which was a very short distance from the lanai. Very quiet, very restful, hope to visit again soon.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manualoha 101 in May. Daytime high temp always around 80. Location is a close as u can get to pool and beach. We only had 3 in our party so unit size was more than we needed. Short walk across the green space to Kalapaki Joe's sports bar.

  This is a fine unit in a great location, with more than enough room for my family of four. It's an easy walk to several beaches and pools. Access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club was also very nice. We'd stay again, and recommend it.

  Somehow they gave us the wrong adress for the condo so arriving in the middle of the night and actually finding the correct place was tricky. BUT, after that, everything was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful spot and enjoyed eating meals on the patio with a great view! We will use this condo if we ever return to Kauai again! Best snorkeling on the island proved to be walking distance away in front of the Marriott!

  Hello,
  My family and I stayed in Manualoha #101 in the beautiful Poipu Kai Resort in Poipu Beach. We did lots of research to find the perfect location ahead of time for our stay and Manualaoha #101 did not disappoint. The condo was spacious, clean, and had a gorgeous lanai that opened up to the neighboring green space (this was important to me). I absolutely loved it! The condo was an end unit that was super close to the pool, steps away from the gorgeous beach and was very quiet. The unit had a great slider door that let in the ocean breeze at night, as well as plenty of other windows. It also had large blinds that we kept closed during the day to keep the unit cool-
  Specifics on rooms: The Master Bedroom had a comfortable Double/Queen Bed with a nice ceiling fan and portable air conditioner unit. The room worked out great for my husband and myself. The upstairs loft was perfect for our kids with two single beds and a pull out futon. There was also a door upstairs that led to a private balcony and let in the cool breeze at night. The upstairs did get a little hot, but cooled down at night with help of portable fans and a ceiling fan. The unit came equipped with beach umbrella's, water shoes, a boogie board and plenty of towels. The kitchen had all the appliances/dishes we needed to cook all of our meals when desired and had a great view of the ocean and green space.
  We could not have asked for anything better. Manualoha #101 is literally steps away from the beach and super close to everything! The Poipu 365 Staff was helpful and welcoming.

  Worked out really well for our group of ladies (7) and 2 kiddos. We unexpectedly added 1 lady and the 2 children to the reservation and they were very accommodating to this reservation change.   This unit is really in a fantastic location. It's about a 3 minute walk to the beach and has a view of the ocean.
  
  It was unclear from the rental description that the second bedroom was up a flight of stairs and has no door. It's kind of a partially enclosed loft with it's own deck. It would have been nice to know that in advance.
  
  One small complaint, the toilet in the main bathroom is not properly secured to the floor, it kind of rocks back and forth when you sit down on it, and the paint on the toilet seat is peeling off, which makes it look rather unappealing. Time for a new toilet.

  We spent a week wir two adults and to children (Boy 13 years, girl 10 years) in this condo to rechter from the ironman. We loved having breakfast outside and heringen the nearby wave of Brenneckes Beach. The short distance to the beaches made it easy to go there more than once a day and the children and we loved to Make some boogie-boarding, snorkeling and watching monk seals and sea turtles. Shopping was nice in Poipu Village and an in Koloa. The property and the location were as well located and comfortable as described and we would recommend this United espacially for families. Only litt Problem was the warm temperature upstairs but the children got used to it quickly.

  The location was perfect. A few easy steps to the beach, the view from the patio was amazing. The condo itself was comfortable and met all our needs. The kids loved the pool. Only criticism was the linens: no linens for the pull out sofa sleepers in the living room (which were very comfortable); had to ask twice to get both sets. The towels smelled like they were washed and left in the washing machine for a few days before being dried and had that musty smell when they got wet again. It was a very quiet location and all slept really well every night. I would definitely return again.

  We enjoyed a fabulous time in Poipu at the Manualoha #101. The location is perfect being right across the street from the ocean and also the condo complex's well kept green grounds and walking path. The condo itself had a bedroom and full ensuite on the main floor with a second bathroom on the main floor and a loft with 2 single beds upstairs which gave our family stay lots of room and space. We enjoyed all the kitchen amenities as it was fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware. We made daily use of the community bbqs which was not far from our unit and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub area daily. The pool by our unit was under renovation and was not available but the other pool was not far. We knew this would be the case before our arrival and it was fine--when the renovations are complete it will be very convenient in proximity to this unit!
  
  The one negative was cockroaches. The condo was clean and we made a point of not keeping any food out and keeping the kitchen clean, but we found at least one a day through the condo (in the kitchen, the living room and twice in our bedroom ensuite and on our last day we saw one crawl under our bed!) I presume they are harmless and part of the tropics, but seeing them in the bedroom creeped us out.

  What a lovely place to stay! It was such a relaxing vacation. we made good use of the boogie boards and sand toys, and also spent a few afternoons over at the Poipu Kai pool, which has a hot-tub and is a short walk away. Highly recommend making a trip to the Costco (in Lihue). Also recommend running trails north of the grand hyatt.
  The knives provided in the kitchen were quite dull which made cooking a little challenging, but other than that we had absolutely no complaints and would rent here again!

Couldn't beat the location, the view and the amenities of this unit. Grateful to the owners for the generous stocking of beach towels, snorkels, water socks and sand chairs. We didn't need to bring a thing! We'll be back, and to this unit someday. Having a kitchen and laundry in such a location was a real bonus.   The condo is very close to Brennecke beach and a short walk to Poipu State Beach. The lower floor patio faces the sea and is a very pleasant place to have morning coffee and make plans for the day. A bouquet of orchids and a guestbook were on the table when we arrived, and that was a nice touch.
  
  It is well equipped with everything needed for a stay, including a washer and dryer, books, games, televisions, telephone, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach towels. Two restaurants are within short walking distance -- Kalapaki Joe's via a path through the resort and Brennecke Broiler just down the street -- and many others are within easy driving distance. There is a place to rent snorkeling gear across from Poipu Beach.
  
  The Manualoha pool is at the opposite end of the building and has a view of the ocean.
  
  The second bedroom is a loft with standard twin beds. There are also sofa beds in the loft and living room. The master bedroom has a queen bed and its own bath with a separate bathtub as well as a shower. The main bathroom is small and a shower only.

  This was a great place to spend time in Hawaii. The location is perfect and the unit was very nice. It is a townhouse and the only problem was it was too warm to sleep in the upstairs bedroom/loft. There is no AC, and the fans just couldn't cool it off. The kids opted for sleeping in the living room downstairs.

  Great location, right next to Brenneke's and great views. The pool has amazing views of Brenneke's and is very nice. The management company is responsive and does a good job on communication. Condo was clean, wish it were updated a bit, but overall a very positive experience and we would stay there again for sure.

  Lovely condo in a lovely location. The unit was very clean and well-equipped. My sons enjoyed the upper level terrace and the nearby beach. It was not far from Port Allen, where we took a catamaran cruise to view the Na Pali Coast, and Weimea Canyon. Vicky stopped by the condo with a beautiful bouquet of fresh-cut orchids shortly after we arrived. She made sure that we had everything we needed. I strongly recommend this property and the management company.

  Our condo was in a perfect location with ready access to several beaches that were good for novice snorkelers and the more experienced. We swam with the turtles and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation there. The nearby pool was perfect for a quick"dip". Can't wait to come back again.

  Only criticism is that the landscaping toward the ocean needs trimming. The hedge and the palm tree to give the unit back its beautiful view of the ocean.

  This condo is very nice. It has the better location of almost all the many properties in Poipu Kai. Fairly well set up. We had a few problems with the cleanliness. The fridge was not completely cleaned out with remainders of the previous tenants veggies left in the crisper and the dishwasher had a bad smell. It needs a good bleach and wipe out. Even after we wiped it out as best we could, it was almost unusable. The rest of the property was clean.
  
  Other than these two things which can be rectified, the property is very nice, well situated with a partial ocean view. It is a very short walk to Breneckes Beach, a very good body surfing/bogie boarding beach and Poipu Beach which is good for swimming and snorkelling.
  
  Although there are lots of condos in the area, it is not congested, as compared to the Lihue and Kapaa areas where we were in yesterday.
  
  Overall a very good condo which we would certainly recommend to our friends.

  We loved the location of this condo! This was our 4th trip to kauai and this condo by far had the best location. It was spacious enough for the 5 of us to spread out, and stocked with just about everything we needed. Convenient to pool and bar bq grill. Also had close parking and easy acsess to the beach and tennis courts.
  
  Master bedroom was a bit small as well as master bathroom but it didn't bother us at all! It was decorated tastefully and we got good airflow through the lower half. Loft could get a bit stuffy when locked up all day but cools down pretty quick once you open the door to upstairs deck.
  
  Manualoha is a beautiful complex and is well taken care of. We enjoyed walking the grounds and looking at the flowers. We heard and saw lots of different types of birds too.
  
  The front of condo faces the beach so it was a wonderful place to lay back in one of many outdoor lounge chairs and read a book while catching some sun.This condo is not as updated as some but I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an ideal location!

  We had it all...sunset views, short walk to Brenneke for boogie boarding and turtles and an extra minute walk to Poipu Beach for great snorkeling and almost daily visits from Monk Seals. 15 minute walk to the Hyatt and the beginning of the cliff walk, 1/2 hour to waimea Canyon by car and 1 1/2 hour drive to Napaii Coast hike, tunnels Beach and Hanalei. The condo was comfortable and modestly decorated. It was a great home base.

  The unit has a great location, great view, and lot's of living space. The drawbacks are that the property is a bit worn and dated, the master bedroon is quite small is the master bathroom, the layout of the living room furniture was a bit awkward (and too heavy to move), and the stairs to the loft were uncomfortably narrow and steep. The unit has a great pool almost right next door with a great view of the beach. We would staay in this unit again.

  We had a great stay! We literally walked across the street to Poipu beach. I was pleased that there were beach towels to use, and beach toys - noodle, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas. The unit was nicely decorated and clean. The patio and furniture were in good condition as well. Property management and owner were easy to work with. I would stay here again!

  Nice 1 bed room with loft condo with beach view, lush lawn and few hundred steps to great beach.
  The loft balcony is a nice bonus with very fragranced plumeria next to it.
  The service company is friendly with fresh orchid upon arrival and personal greeting and showing the condo features around. Also very responsive with service request(towel hanger broken).
  Master bed is firm with separate shower and tub in master bath. Second bath room is cramp with no tub but operable.
  Kitchen is well equiped. Dining room has windows open toward nice plumeria, ginger, apple banana...
  Two twin in the loft is nice but a little bit in tight spot and cannot be joined into 1 King.
  Would prefer a good sofa bed or King in the current place of the broken sofa bed (the sofa is ok) since there is ocean breeze if the balcony door is opened (there is screen doors all around but not the main door)
  The ceiling fan in the loft making noise at full speed which spoiled the joy of listening to the breaking wave at night.
  Plenty of beach toy, beach chairs, mats, umbrella. foam cooler and snorkel gears. Unfortunely, the 2 bogie boards are old and broken.
  The washer and dryer is small and making bad noise so have to use them during the day. Plenty of beach towels and towels.
  Overall, very good experience.
  Please remember to bring and use insect repellent since you might get mosquito bite staying outside past sunset to enjoy the weather and the view.

  We were delighted with Manualoha 101. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and spacious. It was perfect for our small family. We loved the view from the sitting room over the grass, through the palm trees to the sea. My daughter liked being able to play outside safely, and being next to the beach and pool.   Was a perfect spot for us to stay I was traveling with my elderly parents and my sister in law.Mom and Dad could walk to the beach,pool and to a causal sister in law and I could walk to several major hotels and enjoy their Happy Hour.She and I could also walk to Poipu Mall with lots of nice shopping and places to eat.Was a 10 min.drive to Koloa to go grocery shopping The condo its self had a very well equipped kitchen, Everything we needed except a cork screw!Condo was very,very clean,had lots of towels , linens,and beach toys.The beds are very comfortable we liked the pillows too.We had a phone to make local calls.The loft is spacious and some what private from the down stairs.With its own Lanai was a great place to sit with coffee in the early morning and watch the sun hit the top of the palm tree.Lovely view of grass and paved path to the beach,as well as a glimpse of the ocean.A short walk to the beach(3min.)to boogie board,a little longer to Baby Beach and a very good Snorkel parent age 84 & 85 were able to walk that far easily.The web site photos give a good idea of the place.The over all feeling is of light and coolness with bright tropical warmth outside.The staff at Poipu 365 were friendly and helpful.I hope to go back again some day.

  Manualoha 101 is wonderfully situated. We sat on the patio and had views of Brenecke's surf,orangey sunsets, wafting palm trees and even the famed Kauai rainbows. The condo has everything you could want, better utensils than at home! We were four old friends having a girls' reunion and it was perfect.
