  In general, I would give this property a 5 star rating. Exceeded our expectations in almost every way. Beautiful home. Only issue was that dishwasher had defective circuit board and they never did get it fixed during our stay. House was equipped with everything. Heard that they are going to redo the kitchen this summer.

  When looking at the property pictures on line, you may say to yourself, "Of course, the pictures make the place out to be better than it really is". Actually, it's better than the pictures. This amazing house did not disappoint. You'll find it hard to leave the place to go out an discover all Kauai has to offer. Poipu is an excellent location from which to launch your excursions to the rest of the island, but within 20 minute walking distance are shops, restaurants, Spouting Horn State Park, the National Tropical Botanical Garden.
  
  The agency is quite responsive to your needs and requests. I felt comfortable working with them.
  
  One drawback, however, is the kitchen. While you'll find everything you need, some of the appliances were showing wear and tear at the time of our stay; replacement is in order for dishwasher and perhaps the refrigerator. The agency was aware and tried to help as best they could, but ultimately it's the owner who must act. Also, the home's lighting system is a bit complicated to operate and more attention could be given to ensuring all light bulbs are operating- some were burned out with no replacements at hand.

Master bed and bath were fine, two guest bedroom baths badly need updating...tile damaged, wallpaper loose, etc. lawn furniture very dated and in poor shape. Kitchen could use a facelift as well. Understand ownership may have changed over the last year or so...if so, hope new owners make some needed updates. Overall, love the location...unsure whether we would stay again. Thanks.

  The pictures do not do the house justice!! The kitchen is very large with lots of spices, baggies, serving dishes, plastic cups, rice cooker and 2 larger coolers plus 3 Styrofoam ice chests. Supplied with 3 stand alone fans which we moved to the kitchen/dining room during day, bedrooms at night. A couple problems: fridge stayed at 60 degrees, had to move food to coolers and buy lots of ice until it was repaired. The water tastes funny, so we bought lots of bottled water. The pool became VERY cloudy around day 4 of our vacation. Most disappointing was NO OUTSIDE dining furniture. Who wants to eat inside in HAWAII??? Also, the white plastic furniture is old and needs replacing. For the price we paid, I would have expected better outdoor furniture!!! Otherwise, the house was wonderful. Oh, lots of games and puzzles, but NO beach chairs or umbrellas!!

  we have a family of 5 and stayed there for 8 days. Lovely home. the only comment is keep the screen closed otherwise mosquitoes are killers!!! The pool was great and my son and husband had a blast with night swimming. I would prefer the beach chairs out door with cleaner cushions so we ended up lifting the cushions and use our beach towels. The dining room was not used since the kitchen is where we stayed most of the time and outside at the pool. Rooms are comfortable. It would have been nice to turn on AC at night in the summer but the fans are good. Living room is huge and again did not stay there much. We didn't really watch much TV since we stayed outside mostly and kids have their own devices. The TV in kitchen works but the location is hard to see and will not allow manipulation so if you want to watch TV, needs to stand up.

  very happy overall. this home has gorgeous timeless architecture and good quality windows and doors. also loved the custom interior design of the home. the mattresses were comfortable (accept the hard twin ones). be ready for some wave noise, this home is right on the coast. wish the home had air conditioning. we stayed in the summer and it was too hot in the house, even with all doors and windows open. the appliances in the kitchen need updating. only my husband could work the oven. the pool was fabulous to enjoy, but even after the pool guy came the water was still murky. Loved all the gardens and flowering plants on the property. Had a great time. thank you!

  Fantastic week in Kauai! House was all that was advertised, except small problem with the pool clarity. Management company got Frank the pool guy right over after hearing about the problem and he came back regularly during the week to check on pool condition.
  This problem did not keep us out of the pool at all, and I think having the pool just made the vacation for us.
  We had to reboot the modem several times during the week. no big deal.
  Roosters every night and Turtles every afternoon !

  Wonderful property in a beautiful location! My son and daughter-in-law are both architects and they marveled at the layout and details of house construction. You really could have spent the entire vacation here and would have been very comfortable. The property is well maintained with the exception that two of the bedroom TV's had very grainy reception (probably a bad cable connection - somewhere). The kitchen was well appointed. We like to cook and prepared about 40% of our dinners. The outside grounds are well maintained with lots of plantings and orchids in natural settings. I attended an Anesthesiology conference in Poipu daily and had a reliable local alarm clock with the resident rooster (Kauai chicken local block-leader). If I lived there my air-rifle would convert him to a pleasant evening meal. All in all we had a great time. We have been to Kauai four times previously staying in resorts.   This lovely home has great bones. The architecture and landscape design are spectacular. No sunset view, but lovely tidepool/seashore and ocean view from the backyard and swimming pool. The décor/upholstery in some areas is a bit faded/dated and appliances are due for an upgrade. Due to expansive glass, some areas of the house get very warm in the afternoon despite ceiling fans.

  Villa lived up to expectations with regard to location and space. Kitchen, bathrooms and laundry were all well equipped, subject to comments below. Did not hear from the agent except when we requested a new kettle! For the rental price we would have expected the pool to be heated, so cold it was not used in two weeks,and the hot water to be turned on, not requiring us to go on a 45 minute search for the reason why there was no hot water upon our arrival. The villa is "tired"; it needs a new kitchen, new bathrooms, screen replacements, and other updates to bring it into the 21st century. The property is for sale; this may explain why no money is being spent on up renovations.
  Great location, short walk to beach; but charging top dollar, without the back up.

  Stunning peaceful seascape where the days are sun drenched, breezy and lulled by singing birds. Sitting on the pool deck reading, playing cards or watching the sea turtles frolic in the waves with a Pina Colada in hand is my idea of time well spent. The yard is layered with Orchids, Bird of Paradise and all types of beautiful foliage indigenous to Hawaii. Hike up the road about a half a mile and you'll find more fabulous foliage at Allerton Botanical Gardens. Take a look around their gift shop for that special piece of memorabilia and be sure to find the Monster Taco truck and enjoy some Mexican flavor Hawaiian style. Spouting Horn is located right across the street from the gardens. View this natural wonder and then visit the outdoor shopping pavilion. For the more adventurous there are numerous places to surf, snorkel, dive, paddle board, boogie board, hike, cycle, ATV tours and horseback riding all within a 2-4 mile radius. The sunsets are magnificent and the starry nights mesmerizing poolside at Ho'o Wale'a or at the end of Lawai Rd., just past Spouting Horn.
  Wonderful wine shoppe and fish market in Koloa and the best Gelato located in Poipu Plaza!! Not to mention great dining options from $-$$$ and it's all good!
