  We were able to check in early (11am) because the property was cleaned the previous day. The view from the lanai was fantastic! Didn't see any whales but saw dolphins. The property is a little older and the pool was just sad, but they include access to the Athletic club which has a resort-caliber pool and amenities. The living room sofa and chair were also a bit past their prime. There is access to a lava rock shore that is quite impressive. Had to be careful about food on the counters because there were tiny ants that would gather if anything was left out - to be expected in Hawaii - especially an older ground-floor condo. Would definitely consider staying here again!

  Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would have in your kitchen at home. Master bedroom was cozy with a comfortable mattress. Extra pillows in the closet. Very nice patio with comfortable furniture. Watched every sunset from the lounge chairs. Loved listening to the waves crashing on the rocks below as we went to sleep and waking up to such a beautiful view. We will definitely try to stay here again. We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful island.

  We enjoyed this lovely home for our family trip to Kauai! The rental had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. We especially loved the sunset view from the lanai right on the water. With just a short walk down the beach path, we also had a great sunrise view. Having the beach equipment - umbrella, chairs, beach towels was really helpful. The air conditioning worked well and kept us comfortable. The owner was very responsive and corrected one issue. We appreciated the available parking, but be aware that there are steps from the parking to the unit when you have luggage to manage.

  It was wonderful to watch the turtles (and the dolphins once!) from the lani of this apartment. You can't get much closer to the sea than this. The apartment is wonderfully situated and equidistant to two beaches that are a walk away. Stunning coastline right from where you are staying to hike a distance along. The apartment is well equipped and very comfy.

  I bypassed other rentals when zeroing in on this one...thrilled that I did! Beautiful, inviting, comfy condo. Ground floor, walk out to grass, flowers, steps to walkable rock outcrop on the ocean. Sand not required for us. The Poipu Beach Athletic membership was a great surprise, used it & loved it, more than the plunge pool that was also inviting "at home". Great spot for exploring Poipu area and jumping off to Waimea beauty. We appreciated comments about many steps from parking lot, very manageable for spry folks. E 1, Everything 1st class.

  Unit was mostly modernized and well equipped (including snorkel and masks and boogies boards and beach chairs,etc). We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed to have the necessary utensils. The furnishings were in pretty good shape But, the patio and the direct ocean views are fabulous! Loved watching the sea turtles feed on the rocks below every
  Ironing. The pool is small but passable for a quick dip, but didn’t get too much sun when we were there- it’s all about the view (and we liked the quiet neighborhood - not too long of a walk to Brennecke’s beach). My wife and I both thought the primary bedroom bed was comfortable - all in all we had a really nice stay. We did have an issue after a smooth check-in, but managment promptly too care of it.

  We never wanted to leave the lanai. Gorgeous unobstructed view. Turtles, dolphins, paddlers, dive boats and massive waves crashing against the rocks to lull u to sleep.
  This unit has AC... rare in Hawaii rentals.
  Unit had great + plentiful beach chairs, umbrellas, noodles, boogie boards, coolers... even had wetsuits. All in good condition.
  You can tell money was spent on this condo ... couple things need freshening up such as bath towels, kitchen nonstick pans, master bed blinds, patio cushions.
  All minor and would not prevent us from renting this unit again.

  This unit was very nice and in a perfect location. The views were excellent. I liked that it was on the first floor because you could walk out the back and look right down into the ocean to see dolphins and turtles. The patio was bigger than what you would have with a balcony like the upper floors. The place was clean, airy, nicely decorated, and the kitchen had everything you would need. We Wales to Poipu beach in 10-15 min.

  My husband and I spent three wonderful days in this beautifully renovated, well stocked, comfortable condo. The stunning view could be enjoyed anywhere in the common space or master bedroom as well as the spacious patio outside these 2 rooms. We loved listening to the sounds of the surf day and night, and enjoyed watching the whales and sea turtles every morning. Sunsets on the patio are fabulous. The 2nd bedroom (which we didn’t use) is actually larger than the master, has a small garden patio and is fairly private off a hallway that also houses the large washer and dryer as well as the guest bath. While most 2 bedroom condos everywhere tend to have a tunnel-like common space, this condo’s felt unusually wide and spacious. The complex itself looks dated from the street side, and the pool is very small but don’t let that discourage - this condo is modern, clean, and comfortable. Would love to come back.

  The unit was as pictured on the website with a fully furnished kitchen and, books and binoculars! The Ocean Front Lanai was great for watching the sunset and various wildlife including turtles, dolphins and whales. The size was great for two adult couples. The only time the lack of air-conditioning was noticeable was on warm days at sunset. Otherwise, there was a nice breeze and ample fans. One caution for visitors is that is the number of up and down stairs involved in getting to the unit. The stairs are also slippery during the numerous short rainfall‘s in the area. Also, be sure you understand the Poipu Athletic Club charge. We went to use the athletic club on our day of check out and to leave our bags at the facility. Since we had checked out, an additional departure charge would have to be paid in order to use the bag storage and showers. We thought this service was part of the amenities provided.
  The unit is close to Shipwreck Beach and Brenneke Beach. Nice walks.

  This condo was well appointed. Very comfortable beds and amazing views of whales. Loved hearing the crashing waves lull us to sleep each night. All the basics are available on check in, such as TP, trash bags, soaps, salt/pepper & so much more.
  Beach towels, binoculars, beach umbrellas and chairs and a cooler were in the closets. No need to pack those. amenities yourself. Due to ceiling fans and a couple extra floor fans, we slept comfortably thru the night with blankets on and no air conditioning needed. If you stand at the edge of the brick wall overlooking the ocean you can see turtles swimming close to the shore down below. And don't hesitate to walk down the path tonthe rocky area below and enjoy sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back here again in the future. The unit also includes the athletic club nearby. We stayed their our final day after check out until we needed to shower up and head to the airport late afternoon. Wish we had found the place earlier in our trip. Sometimes, a clean pool vs. A sandy beach is a little welcoming. Only minor downside is that it seemed to be overdue for a deep cleaning. The ceiling fans were heavy with dust build up and the lamps had dead bugs in them. But we called management and they sent someone out to immediately clean it all up.

  In general Hawaii is warm, but it was hard to get a breeze flowing through this unit since the back bedroom was slightly below ground and was essentially a lookout on the back side. So the walkout on the front directly to ocean view was great, but the back side being low kept the unit warm (even with small air conditioning units and fans. Not a lot of storage space so had to live out of luggage.
  Room was clean, towels, shampoo, dishwashing soap was provided, so very nice.
  Beds were comfortable, and once again, view was magnificent.
