  The home was ideal for our family of 10. We loved to sit on the lanai and watch the sunsets though all times of day would find us there as well. Having two dishwashers is brilliant!!! We also enjoyed the pool on site with the floaty toys for our kids. It was also very helpful to have chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and water shoes all available in the garage.

  Just completed a multi-generational family vacation at Honu La'e. We found the condition of the home accurate with the photos shown, everything was very clean and updated. Our family really enjoyed the well stocked garage of beach items (chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, water shoes, towels, cooler, etc). We would load our car and do the short drive to Poipu / Brennake's beach most days. We enjoyed having two washer/dryers as well as the additional refrigerator in the garage. We used the grill as well as the oven/stove and everything was in working order. Be aware that the cottage is attached but very separate in terms of entrance (would have to walk out through garage to access cottage). It worked out fine for our family but possibly wouldn't want to have that as a space for young kids to stay without parents. In addition, the quality of the pull out couch in cottage is probably good only for small kids as the mattress is very thin. We found the AC unit able to keep up and keep everyone cool enough. We received prompt help from the property manager when we had a sink in the cottage that wasn't draining. This is a great location convenient to several luxury shopping/dining destinations and the area beaches. Would definitely recommend this property to others!

  We rented this property for an multigenerational family, which included an infant and a toddler. The cottage, accommodated the infants, Family, quite well as it has its own little kitchenette. The toddler’s family was in the master suite which allowed for napping without distractions. There are multiple appliances, which also makes it nice for a large family. Two sets of washers and dryer’s, one in the master suite, and one in the garage. In the kitchen, which is very well stocked and great for, many cooks, there are two microwaves and two dishwashers. We had some issue with the AC, and the maintenance staff brought in small air-conditioning units for all the rooms. The lanai is big and seats your entire group. It looks across the street to the ocean and you’ll see spectacular sunsets. Poipu Beach is less than five minutes away by car and the property provides lots of beach gear, including at least 10 beach chairs. Overall, a very well appointed home that works well for large families.

  The house was great in all the right ways. The location was perfect - watching the sunsets to access to beaches. The beaches were only a few minutes walk from the house. The water in front of the house was teaming with sea turtles and they were fun to watch. There were great shops and restaurants in walking distance and only a few minutes drive from the house. The house itself was perfect. We had so much room to spread out (there were 8 of us) and we never felt on top of one another. The kitchen was perfect for cooking big meals and the beds were extraordinarily comfortable (and I am a big mattress diva). The pool was so nice to have to ourselves and a great place to cool off. The house had a ton of beach supplies, from coolers and umbrellas to water shoes and swim fins. It had more supplies than we needed. The ONLY exception was the number of beach towels. It was an expensive house, but very well worth every single penny.

  I rented this home for my extended family. The home exceed all expectations for quality, convenience and atmosphere. My family includes my 4 adult children 2 spouses, 3 grandchildren, myself and my husband. The home provided perfect privacy for all individuals as well as an atmosphere of comfort and quality. As an interior designer, and having an architect on board, we were amazed at the attention to detail in all the construction and decor. It also provided us with the amenities we would expect for a large family, such as 2 dishwashers, a huge commercial grade range, and two sets of laundry facilities. The home was immaculate, with the small exception of tiny gnats collected in the master bath tub, that either were missed by the cleaning crew, or had quickly accumulated due to their size, providing easy access through the screens. The separate HVAC zones helped us all to be comfortable. The lanai and swimming pool provided an excellent gathering space for us all. The owners were contacted only once for an unusual situation concerning a stray cat that wandered onto the property. They were extremely helpful and attentive to the situation. Great hosts! Only two comments for future consideration; the lock for the main house front door was a bit confusing and tricky to use; we also were a bit frustrated that it was not possible to leave it unlocked while we were outside on the property. The door would always swing open when left ajar, preventing us from using the air conditioning while outside. Small thing, but perhaps locks and the door balance may be adjusted. Also, it was easy to confuse which club property was included for use, due to the proximity of the club behind the property- even using the same access! This should be emphasized to future renters. All in all, it was a fabulous property and I recommend it highly!

  This home was perfect for our family vacation. Fantastic gathering areas (Living room, kitchen, dining, lanai) for our whole family to hang out together, and then space where our 3 mini families could retreat for quiet times (when needed). Amazing views of sunset every night, and loved that across the street from the home was a gathering place for all to come see the beauty of the sunsets - people gathered about 20 mins before, then left shortly after (locals and visitors, it was awesome). Also had views of sunrise. Fam spent many hours on the lanai taking in the amazing views. Beach was a short walk away for the days we wanted to get our feet in the sand and a feel for the amazing Pacific; other days we lounged in the pool at the house! Easy drive to shops and grocery store.
  House was immaculate, absolutely beautiful interior; had everything we needed. We cooked in mostly, and the kitchen was one a chef would love!

  My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Poipu 365 the first week in August. It was a long delayed family vacation. The property was exactly as described, the kitchen was huge and had everything any chef could ask for. Dishes, pots and pans, everything was plentiful. When we arrived the place was **** and span and very well kept. There were beach chairs, water toys, umbrellas, a stroller, anything we needed in the garage. A couple of high points is the private pool and the gorgeous huge Lanai overlooking the water. The beautiful sunset from sitting on our Lanai was breathtaking. There were no issues at all with the house, so there was no need to contact the manager. I highly recommend this gorgeous spacious property to any family and remember, there is also a guest house with a kitchenette, 2 washers and dryers, shower outside to avoid bringing sand inside. This was truly a trip we will never forget. I highly recommend renting this home. Thank you

  Our family spent a week in this beautiful house. Due to the tropical storms that week the surf was exceptionally high so snorkeling was not allowed on some of the beaches. The grandkids were able to enjoy the water in the swimming pool on the property and the adults were entertained by watching the surfers from the lanai. Such a great time. The house was beautifully furnished with enough room to accommodate our family of 10. There was a problem with an army of tiny sugar ants in the kitchen area.

  The layout worked perfectly for our family. The master is on one side of the house, separated from the 2nd bedroom and 3rd (kid) bedroom by the open kitchen/dining/living room. There's also a den connecting the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms and leading to the garage. The attached (exterior access only) cottage was a beautiful retreat for our most introverted member to recharge. The home is well-decorated but still with a comfortable vibe. And the host left a personalized note and tips, which was nice. Kids LOVED the pool. Adults loved watching the sunset from the lanai. Some of our group took advantage of the Poipu Athletic Club option and reported the facilities were great. There's a good coffee shop en route too. We appreciated the beach equipment available for our use as well as the outdoor (but enclosed) shower; made beach time with the kids much easier. There's a resort restaurant just a minute or two walk away, which we visited for breakfast one day. Overall, we all liked the rental and would definitely come back.

  We rented Honulae in the Poipu area from Poipu365 for a week for a family birthday celebration. What a fantastic choice we made!! The house is even lovelier in person than in the pictures. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and each has an en suite bath. We also included the separate apartment in our rental and it too is large and so well appointed. The entire house met and exceeded our needs in so many ways. The location could not be better! Our group of six sat on the generous lanai every morning for coffee and every evening for sunset and beyond. What an amazing way to begin and end a day on this gorgeous island. We could easily and quickly walk to the beautiful beach at the Sheridan Hotel. As a side note, beaches in Hawaii are public. Koloa town, Poipu Beach, the Grand Hyatt, Shipwreck beach, etc. are all a short drive away. Be sure to eat a Puka Dog at Poipu Beach and return to the beach around 7:30-8:00 PM to see all of the sea turtles that come on shore. Amazing!
  The house itself was pristine when we arrived and so well stocked!! There are a few members in my family with back problems and they said the mattresses were as comfortable as theirs at home if not more so. We cooked several dinners at the house and the kitchen is amazing! Everything we could possibly need was there for us. Also, for a large group, there are two full sets of washers and dryers in the house. The pool is great and the landscaping is so beautiful and lush! This house is perfect! Book early!! This one is in high demand!!
  Poipu365 is a great agency and is always willing to answer questions or help in any way. The people are friendly and accessible. The membership to the Poipu Athletic Club is a wonderful perk! I worked with the concierge service through Poipu365 and they were so helpful. They made great recommendations for our activities and booked them for us! Obviously, we had a fabulous time!!

  The house set up was perfect for multiple families with lots bedrooms with private bathrooms. Large multiple spaces for lounging, especially on the porch facing the ocean.   Just to note, every evening a large migration of folks came to the look out area across the street to view the ocean and colors of the sunset. Not a problem but something to be aware of. This is a great house better than the pictures make it appear!

  This was an excellent home to accommodate our three-generation family for a week. The two spacious wings and separate casita provided ample space and private bathrooms. The location just minutes from Poipu Beach, restaurants, and shopping made it easy to explore. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, towels, umbrella, and toys. We also loved having access to Poipu Beach Club, playing with the kids and enjoying poolside drinks in the afternoon. Overall, this home is one of the most amazing places we have stayed. It is exceptionally clean and well stocked, and the owners clearly invested attention to the beautiful island décor and furnishings. Our favorite places to relax at the end of the day were the secluded pool grotto and the front porch overlooking the ocean where we watched humpback whales as the sun set, often with takeout dinner from the Holoholo Grill which is just steps away. We highly recommend this home for a wonderful stay on Kauai.

  This home is exceptional. Best vacation rental we’ve ever had. It has everything and more for an amazing care free vacation. From beach umbrellas, towels, and water shoes, snorkeling goggles and fins, huge kitchen, bathrooms for everyone, A/C, two washer/dryers, two dishwashers, plenty of seating indoors and out, bbq grill, attached (spotless) garage, etc. Bed rooms are spaced out adding a sense of privacy. Then there’s the location. Sunset views so good guests from nearby resorts stroll by every evening to get this view! While the beach across the street is not suitable for swimming, the crashing waves on the rocky shore only enhance the view from the porch. Sandy beaches just 4 blocks down the sidewalk street are spectacular for swimming and snorkeling. The pool was great for relaxing at home and staying cool in the Hawaiian sun. A variety of restaurants are within walking distance.
  For full disclosure, one dishwasher did not drain completely one day but a plumber arrived within 2 hrs of notifying the managers and fixed the problem. The only suggestion we could think of would be to include more detailed info about the home’s A/C in the “info binder” for guests. Although there were several thermostats around the house only one controlled the A/C for all the bedrooms. Once we realized that, every BR remained comfortable. Our group’s advice: Don’t hesitate to stay at this beautiful property if you have the chance.

  The house was perfect location on the water and the beautiful porch overlooked the pacific ocean. The house was appointed nicely, and the kitchen was fit for a gourmet chef. There were a few things not working on arrival (wine fridge, ice maker, air conditioning in master), but other than the air in the master, which was fixed quickly, the other issues were minor. Cher Lani from the property management company was an absolute angel and so wonderful to deal with. She did everything in her power to accommodate any of our needs. She has a warm personality and it made our stay at the house that much better. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a great escape to Kauai. I would say the only one downside is the pool is small and not heated and no jacuzzi. But there is a big ocean to swim in (Sheraton beach is a 7 minute walk) so it did not bother me.   The house was perfect. A great floor plan with the nicest kitchen and amenities of any house I have rented in Hawaii. The porch and view though were the best part of the house. Watching the sun set every evening and drinking coffee in the morning was paradise. We had only adults in our group so the only downside were the twin beds in the 3rd bedroom, rather than a queen bed. Our party would stay again in Honu La'e in a heartbeat.

  We absolutely loved this house and especially the huge front porch with views out to the ocean! The house is equipped with everything you need for a beach vacation. This was a family reunion with our kids and grandkids for a total of 10 people and the house easily absorbed everyone. Great kitchen! The pool was small but just fine, however, you get access to the Kauai Brach Club and a big pool there. It’s possible to walk to restaurants and the wonderful beaches nearby.

  This was a fantastic home for our family of eight! The view of the ocean was so picturesque and the house is walking/running distance from the beach, a little shopping center, and the athletic facility. I personally was thrilled that the house had AC and found both the indoor and outdoor areas perfect for our needs. We had one minor snafu with the AC not working properly in one of the bedrooms, but the rental agency got someone out within 48 hours to fix it.
  
  My only other comments would be that the front gate didn't seem to lock properly, there are noticeable power lines that impede the view slightly, and the road in front of the house seems to be a frequent hangout for locals who will park their trucks and drink beer in the evenings, occasionally directly in front of the house. Overall, I wouldn't consider these dealbreakers, but definitely something to be aware of when booking.
  
  I personally really liked this house and would stay here again if back on Kauai!

  My husband & I wanted to spend some family time together with our three son's, daughter in law and a few other family members. What a perfect place Honu La'e was. There is plenty of space and the rooms are very nice. My favorite was the patio and the pool. Absolutely relaxing and memorable. Just across the street is the ocean and there is an abundance of Sea Turtles you can sit and watch. We loved watching people surfing and snorkeling as well. Our family plans to visit again and although the kitchen is fantastic we ate out at many great restaurants that were very close by. Oh and another must is the Kauai Backcountry Adventures! We all went and had an amazing time tubing down the sugar cane water canals.
  I absolutely recommend this location and I was very pleased to deal with Celeste at the rental office as well as meet Vicki when we dropped off some of our local wine to say thank you.

  We absolutely loved the house! Everything was perfect and all appliances were upper end quality. The front porch was the best room in the house, from where we watched turtles, enjoyed the ocean view while sipping a cocktail. My daughter and her husband had the suite with their 2 little ones. It worked perfectly. The beach was just a 7 minute stroll and was never busy. Vicky, our manager was available to answer our questions and she was very attentive to everything. The pool guy came when we were concerned about the water quality and fixed the problem immediately. The home had a stroller, pack and play, high chair. It far exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to return to this lovely home.

  Honu La'e is a lovely home, with many luxurious touches, as well as art pieces from the islands. The kitchen is a dream, with a Thermador range and a cupboard full of spices and seasonings. Coffee and tea are also in a drawer. The furniture in most rooms appears to be local koa wood, with a leaf design. The stereo system is integrated throughout the house, even on the lanai. The lanai is just like heaven, with a rocker that became my husband's favorite spot to watch the waves and people, or just nap. The house is an easy walk to Poipu, and is very close to many excellent restaurants, fish markets, shopping, galleries, etc. There are beach supplies--chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, towels, etc. The attention to detail in this home is really above and beyond any rental we have ever used. None of us wanted to go home, this was a vacation to remember. Honu La'e was a big part of that.

  This home was perfect for our family. The deck out front was our favorite place in the house. We ate breakfast there every morning, played cards there at night, and simply lazed there reading books or watching the dolphin and turtles off the coast during the day. Though small, the pool was wonderfully refreshing at the end of the day ... perfectly sized for a couple of floats. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with everything we needed to cook. Decor was beautiful! We had other family members staying at both the Sheraton and the Waiohai Marriott, both of which were a short walk away. If you choose not to cook, there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. We couldn't have been happier with this home for our family vacation.
