The living/family room is spacious and has a dramatic and truly breathtaking ocean, beach and surf line view. This fourth floor end unit #418 is one of the closest to the ocean, and is one of the only Kauai Vacation Condos that can capture a TRUE 180 Degree sit down beach/ocean/surf view. As you can see, the corner location allows two floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

The ocean reefs are directly below your lanai, where you can easily spot sea turtles, dolphins, and whales cruising just outside your balcony! The living room features high-quality and tastefully decorated Hawaiian furnishings, a large color Television with remote control, cable television, a VCR for your viewing pleasure, and a high-quality stereo system with remote. This is a fabulous place to kick back and let your senses soak up the sights, sounds, and smells that are Kauai, nature at its finest!!

The sounds of the ocean are in every room!!! You can whale watch, enjoy beautiful Kauai sunsets, count dolphins and turtles, or enjoy some of the best surfing action on the sunny south shore of Kauai while inside this unit. The dining area features a spacious high-quality glass table, and four restaurant-quality chairs. There is also kitchen counter seating for two people on swivel chairs.

The kitchen is gorgeous, and the setting cannot be duplicated! Imagine creating a gourmet dinner while watching surfers catch some of the best waves on the Island 100 feet away! This gourmet kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, blenders, mixers, steamer, coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, pots and pans, quality cutlery, and virtually everything you need to create wonderful meals!

Solid granite countertops and the latest "white on white" appliances. If you don't feel like cooking, take a one-minute stroll along the beach and enjoy a meal at one of the finest restaurants in Kauai, The "Beach House" Restaurant.

The first bedroom suite features a terrific ocean view, a king-size bed , and classic Hawaiian furnishings. It is tastefully decorated utilizing local artists. The bed is a Simmons Beauty Rest (firm) and has an attractive Ralph Lauren bedding. Your sleep comfort was the highest priority here! Ten day stay. The condo was ready for my earlier than expected 2:00 pm arrival. Beautifully appointed with unexpected full sunset views. Updated and stocked with a good inventory of glass and dish wares as well as towels. It even had beach items, umbrella, towels, fins, boogie boards and beach chairs. The only nit picky me would bring up is the carving knife set did not have even one sharp knife. That being said, I loved the chilled Champagne and glasses in the fridge upon arrival, nice touch to begin my stay at this awesome condo full of windows! I’d book it again.

Kuhio Shores 418 is such an excellent unit for the perfect Poipu stay. We spent most of our time with the sliding glass door and the windows wide open for the most wonderful fresh island breezes and ocean wave sounds. The unit is well maintained and appointed with everything needed: more than enough towels, great beach gear and coolers, and everything needed to cook. The beds are comfy, the wifi works great, and the views all day are spectacular. Was concerned the restaurant would be noisy but it really wasn't. The AC and fans in the bedrooms and living room made the space extra comfortable for sleeping. Most condos in Hawai’i are not as clean or well cared for as this unit. You cannot beat the ocean front location and view of Kuhio Shores 418, plus it is a 3-5 minute drive from everything you could want in Koloa and Poipu. The management company dropped off the parking pass the next day so we didn’t even need to do a check in at the building. Top to bottom a great experience. We cannot wait to get back to Kuhio Shores 418.

We have stayed at KS418 many times and love it. Check in / out couldn't be easier. Had minor smoke alarm failure; it was repaired promptly. I have one minor issue; there are new push button switches for lights and fans that are not intuitive - takes some groping plus trial and error to sort them out. I favor old-school toggle switches - simple and intuitive. But this is a minor hassle - probably intended to improve convenience. Clean - yes! I went over the place with a UV light before we moved in and found nothing. The place always seems clean; this time I can confirm it.

Amazing views of the water and a spacious and well laid-out condo. Great snorkeling just steps away and quick access to Longs, ice cream, Poipu and Brenecke Beaches. Many amenities in this well-stocked unit.

The living room and kitchen floors had highly-visible amounts of food (bread crumbs?) on the tile and the area-rugs, and we found garbage under the couch (we had to move it to place a blow up bed). The lanai needed a thorough sweeping and the kitchen table looked like it had been wiped with something greasy (no glass cleaner anywhere in the house to clean it with), toaster was dirty. Towels were lacking for a party of 5, and one blow-up mattress lacked a pump and was un-useable. I left a message about that but never heard back. The water was undrinkable, even for making coffee, and it would be a nice gesture to get a Brita filter or something for renters to not have to purchase loads of bottled water. A lovely stay overall, but not for the December pricing. We also rented a very similar unit in Poipu Shores (unit 303A) that was gorgeous (more up to date), extremely clean and half the cost for the exact same dates.

We will be back! This is the best unit we’ve found at Kuhio Shores! Several advantages: The bedroom windows are on the outside of the building Not opening to the exterior walkway – more secure and better breezes. The furniture is comfortable and not overly nice/fussy, so we could feel at home. The condo itself is in great condition, nothing broken or needing to be refreshed, AND very clean. That doesn’t even begin to cover the view! Stunning!
Many thanks to property managers, Vicki and Cher Lani at Poipu365. Any (small) issues we mentioned were resolved the same day I texted! Vicki even came by just after we checked in to deliver our welcome package. Really appreciated Cher Lani’s patience with all my questions before booking.

They even provided multiple pairs of swim fins. Fabulous location located only minutes from Poipu beach and a great selection of restaurants, Merriman's being our favorite! You can't beat the location. Great snorkeling right outside the condo. We had great customer service - very responsive. We would definitely choose this unit again. The parakeets that nested in the tree right outside the window each night were so much fun to watch. A very low key area on Kauai but close to everything you would want to do.

This is a beautiful condo in a prime location. The condo is well furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Pros: very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed including wine glasses. There was also a bottle of bubbly in the fridge when we arrived. The view was beautiful, right on the beach, AC, great beach equipment, nice location, at 5min drive to Poipu beach.
Cons; we never could get the wifi to work, we wanted to stream a video but there was not even a router in the house, but we were given a wifi code. I'm very tech savy and would have been able to figure it out if it was possible. My father couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV. The building was dated, outside landscaping wasn't very appealing, looked like an SOCAL building, nothing charming or Hawaiian about it. Surrounded by other buildings without much tropical landscaping or lushness you would expect.

Amazing view, and wonderful location at Poipu Beach. We watched turtles every morning, and the sunsets were gorgeous. Plenty of beach equipment for our excursions to beaches. If you are planning to get on Hawaii time and unwind, this property is an excellent choice. The lanai is a perfect hang out, overlooking a great surf break. Truly excellent snorkeling at the cove immediately adjacent to property. You'll have nonstop weddings at the restaurant next door, but they shut down by 10pm. we enjoyed the live music and hula shows that most of the weddings included. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. Amazing views and nice location. We loved that it had beach gear to use-chairs, umbrellas and snorkeling gear & cooler. Close to a lot of amenities-beaches, food, shopping and the gym access was a great bonus. The fridge wasn't working when we arrived, but the staff was very helpful and got a new one in there right away. Overall, it was a great experience and we would happily stay here again if we come back to Kauai.

This condo is very well equipped. The view is beautiful! And location is great. Our only complaint is that the A/C units are on lockdown. The only function able to change is on-off. I know that electricity is expensive but it never became as cool as we would have liked. We had to sleep with sheets only or no cover at all. Had to pull out all the fans for both bedrooms. If you’re that tight on the A/C cost, raise the cost of the weekly rental.

Condo was as indicated.
Kitchen was well stocked for any cooking desired; Ocean views and surfing were mesmerizing; easy access to walking paths nearby; close to Big Save for shopping; close to Poipu beaches with access to beach club for swimming and work out room.
Only issue was AC in second bedroom. Took too many hours to cool down and remained uncomfortably warm during the night. It finally cooled down later in the week. Overall a fine place to stay in Kauai except for the AC issue.
We would only recommend if AC issue is corrected

My family w/ 2 teenage daughters had a terrific stay!
The unit was clean and well-equipped (kitchen and all incidental items).
The view was amazing and the location is a popular surf break so there were always surfers to watch.
Easy walk to local restaurants and shops.
Shipwreck beach was a good, close spot for a sandy beach. Snorkeling out front of the condo was an aquarium. The cliff hike (easy) at Shipwreck beach was a do-not-miss with postcard views. The Waipoo waterfall hike was also easy and had a rope-swing bonus at the end!

The moment you walk in this condo you will immediately be grateful you booked it. The view is to-die-for. I've visited Kauai many times and I can say this is one of the best direct oceanfront views on the island. It's not possible to be closer to the ocean. It almost feels like you're in it. In fact, some days I would walk into the condo and be alarmed how loud the waves were! You may not ever need to leave - literally. I loved how the condo was an end unit. Very quiet. The complex itself is quiet. There is a great snorkeling beach right next door, Lawai Beach and a great restaurant downstairs, Beach House. I can find little to complain about this condo. The only downside was having to leave!

This is the perfect location if you are looking for a view. We enjoyed the ocean views from the lanai and even from the living room so much that we will be spoiled from now on! We watched surfers and snorkelers everyday from the lanai and enjoyed the beach right next door. The snorkeling is fantastic there! There one bedroom does not have air conditioning but was ok for us. The property is well taken care of and our only regret is not staying longer! The condo is centrally located and it was easy to get to restaurants and many activities in south kauai.

This condo has a $15 million view at a great price. You literally cannot be closer to the ocean. The view is breathtaking. Plenty of free parking, a quiet and private location, and all with easy driving access to the may sights of the south side. The pictures on the website doesn't do it justice. This is truly one of the best views on the entire island. The 4th floor perch on the corner gives you a 180 degree panorama of the ocean that constantly delivers that island feeling. From the lanai we saw many turtles and even a large pod of spinner dolphins doing their acrobatics. This is in addition to the daily surfer action all along the coast at this point. And you are a 5 minute walk from one of the best snorkel spots in Kauai. The amenities were nice (especially the air conditioning which came in handy at the peak hour of the day). The condo was clean and nicely furnished (although we never did turn on the TV when you had the amazing view outside). The location was great - 5 minutes to Poipu beach, 10 minutes from old Koloa town, and walking distance from a very nice collection of restaurants and shops (don't miss Merriman's). We definitely will be returning.

The great thing about Kuhio Shores 418 is it is the closest to the shore and the highest. Every evening we viewed the sunset from this condo. Right after sunset hundreds of Birds of Paradise would land in the palm trees by the condo. Beautiful birds, beautiful sunset!

I really appreciated the 2 air conditioner units to keep the condo cool.

Most every night, just prior to sunset the restaurant next door would have an outdoor wedding. For those concerned about noise, they stopped all music at 10PM every night. Nothing but the sound of waves at that point.

We will come back to Kauai and we will try to get 418 again.

(oh, BTW, in the front closet is some snorkeling gear-- that might save you a few dollars).

Our group stayed at 418 Kuhio Shores and enjoyed a fantastic experience. The views from the corner end condo were simply magnificent. The condo was clean and fully outfitted including some beach gear. We were initially excited to see the arrival of the rose-ringed green parakeets to the nearby trees at dusk. We later learned that they are an invasive species that is threatening many of the local farmers' crops so our enthusiasm was tempered. Overall, we wished that we could have stayed longer.

I have rented several ocean condos on the different islands and this by far beats any on the ocean that I have rented I just wish that when I return to the islands this condo would be on each one! It was updated, clean, a kitchen with everything provided, even had champagne in the refrigerator!

The unit was situated perfectly with two walls of Ocean views. We probably spent more time in the condo than normally because of the condo location on the ocean. There were always surfers to watch and thousands of parakeets came and went everyday.

We had a perfect birthday celebration in Kuhio Shores 418 condo. The views are wonderful with gorgeous sunsets each evening on the sunny side of the island. There is a convenient small sandy beach on the side of the condo complex. It is a great location on the island with easy access to shopping, great restaurants and great beaches. The condo was nicely appointed and the owners went out of their way to make our celebration special.

My family (hubby, two teens - 18 & 15 years old, plus myself) spent a week at this condo. The picture is spot on, your right st the beach (4th floor) where you can watch the surf while relaxing on your balcony. It was clean and very convenient to great places to eat, plus a 5 minute walk from a sandy beach for traditional laying out. Great snorkeling. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Much cheaper than staying in a hotel.

This trip was absolutely amazing! #418 played a big role in that! The views from the condo were stunning! We saw sea turtles daily along with the surfers and we even saw whales and dolphins one day! We have stayed at Kohio Shores at least 5 times, and our recent stay in 418 was lovely. The view to the west and north makes for continuously spectacular scenery and wonderful sunsets. We were greeted by champagne and cooled glasses, and the condo was ready for us to enjoy our stay, including very thoughtful stocking of towels, soaps, condiments etc. The two bedrooms each have ocean views and own bathroom. Can't ask for more.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this property. Views from the balcony are the best. Saw a wedding and a surfing contest from our room. Condo had all required amenities. Only issue was a cranky washing machine but there was another one on the property that could be used. No issues at all with checking in or out. Had another wonderful stay. I will be back.

Great views of the ocean. Watched the surfers, sunsets, whales, dolphins and turtles. Windows on 3 sides - so lots of good air flow. Well equipped - both kitchen and beach accessories. Small beach with snorkeling very close. Mall with restaurants about a 15-20 min walk away. Beach House restaurant next door wasn't that great. It would be nice if the property had a swimming pool. They provide reasonably priced access to a club with tennis, gym and pool, but would be nicer to have it onsite.

The condo has amazing views, it was like standing in water, it was just that close! We have rented this condo twice and have never been disappointed. The views are amazing, the breeze coming in kept us cool. There is no one walking by the bedroom window because the walkway stops at the front door. It is always clean and the staff very friendly. Snorkeling right out the condo is wonderful, be sure to rent your equipment from Boss Frog right next to the condo. Easy pick up and drop off. Book this condo early as is always gets booked early.

We stayed at #418 for four nights, including New Year's Eve. The home was exactly as described: right on the ocean, with the sound of crashing waves every day, and a view from every window. (and the house is full of windows!) We thought we'd miss air conditioning, but with the ocean breezes and good shades for daytime sun, we were comfortable. They also provided fans and every room has a ceiling fan. There were plenty of tables and seats on the patio so that you can enjoy the view. There was a great snorkeling area just steps away from the house as well as the Beach House restaurant next door which had great views, good food, but was quite expensive. There were strip malls nearby with gift shops, restaurants, ice cream, etc. and a Longs Drug was close by as well. We drove to nearby Poipu Beach for the fireworks on New Years Eve. We also spent the day there swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. It was a safe family beach with a lifeguard. There was even a Monk Seal on the beach while we were there. The beds and bathrooms were great. There was plenty of beach gear in the closet for our use. Overall, the home fit our needs very well and the sound of the ocean put us to sleep at night. Sometimes, it was almost too loud and we would have to shut the windows. Especially with the morning bird noise. However, you do not go to Hawaii to lay in bed and sleep late. There is too much to see and do.

We stay at a lot of vacation rentals. This one was very well equipped. Nice having all of the beach toys. The bottle of champagne was a nice touch. Good corner unit offering expansive views. All of the dishes, glassware, silverware - matched. Many other places look as if they bought this and that at swap meets. Good wireless internet. Good instructions and received them way in advance. You cannot find a better view and have a spectacular show daily with the sunset. We really enjoy the south shore and this condo is in our favorite area.
